1. Who we are
Karagio ("we", "us", "our") is an on-demand car care platform operating in Lebanon at karag.io. This policy applies to our mobile application, website and related services. For privacy questions, contact privacy@karag.io.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your name and mobile number (verified by SMS).
- Vehicle details: plate number, VIN, make, model, year, fuel type and related data you add or that we retrieve on your behalf.
- Service requests: the services you request, descriptions of issues, and notes you provide.
- Payment information: processed through our payment partners; we do not store full card numbers on our systems.
- Insurance details: your insurer and policy information, where you choose to provide them.
Information we collect automatically
- Location: with your permission, your location when you request a service, so we can dispatch agents and match nearby providers.
- Device & usage data: device type, app version, and how you interact with the app, to keep it working and improve it.
- Job records: photographs, parts, labour and invoices generated during a job.
3. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account.
- To dispatch agents, match providers, and deliver the services you request.
- To match your vehicle to the right provider, including insurance-approved garages where applicable.
- To process payments and produce invoices.
- To keep you informed about the status of your jobs via push notifications, in-app messages and, where relevant, WhatsApp.
- To provide support, resolve disputes, and maintain records of work performed.
- To improve our service, ensure safety and security, and comply with legal obligations.
4. How we share information
We share information only as needed to operate the service:
- Service providers: the vehicle and job details necessary to perform the work you requested.
- Field agents: the information needed to collect, return and service your vehicle.
- Payment processors: to complete transactions.
- Insurers: where you ask us to coordinate an insurance-related repair.
- Authorities: where required by law or to protect rights and safety.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Your vehicle service history
Job logs, photographs and invoices are stored in your account so you have a permanent record of work done on your vehicles. You can access this history in the app, and you may request an export.
6. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as long as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal and accounting obligations. You may request deletion of your account, after which we will remove or anonymise your personal data except where we are required to retain it.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your data and limit access to those who need it to do their jobs.
8. Your choices
- Location: you can control location permissions through your device settings, though some features require location to work.
- Notifications: you can manage push and marketing notifications in the app.
- Access & deletion: you can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account by contacting privacy@karag.io.
9. Children
Karagio is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from minors.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by other reasonable means, with the "last updated" date revised above.
